what is a y-intercept
define the term in your own words
A y-intercept is the point where a line moving from left to right on
a graph crosses the y axis. Because the y-axis is drawn vertically
through the point on the x axis where x = 0, the y-intercept can be
determined from an equation by setting x equal to zero and solving
the equation.
