A ordinary pentagon has 5 lines of reflectional symmetry, and rotational symmetry of order 5 (thru seventy two°, 144°, 216° and 288°). The diagonals of a convex ordinary pentagon are in the golden ratio to its facets. See here its top (distance from one facet to the other vertex) and width (distance between farthest separated points, which equals the diagonal period)
