x - 2x - 1

x and -2x are like terms so 1x-2x = -x because 1 -2 = -1

you then get -x - 1 as a simplified answer

I think the answer is 1

X-2x-1

X-2x÷2-1

X-X-1

  :x-x=0

So what's left is 1.....

I tried, but I might be wrong.
