$3500 rise on salary in one year is 10*3500=35000 in 10 years or $31500 in 9 years. So salary in 10 years is 30000+31500=$61,500, counting first year salary as $30,000 and 9 subsequent years as $3,500 per year. However after 10 years the salary would be a further $3,500, bringing it to $65,000.
