This is the question I was asked:
Given the following system in equilibrium: 2SO2(g) + O2(g) ⇌ 2SO3(g)
If Keq=85.0, [SO2]=0.0500 M and [O2]=0.0500M, what is the concentration of SO3 at equilibrium?
Set up, it looks like this: 85= x^2
(0.05)^2 (0.05)
The correct answer (I guess) is 0.103; I don't know how they got that. Please show your work so as I may be able to figure out how you get the answer. Thanks :)
