The easiest way to do this is to keep the whole number and fraction separate to start with. 3 times 10=30. Remember that for later. Now for the fraction. 3 times 5/6=3*5/6, but 3 goes into 6 twice: 5/2= 2 1/2. So we've got another mixed number. Add on 30 from before and we have 32 1/2.
