Extremely urgent help with algebra 2 equation?
Can someone skilled work this problem and show me how and why? I'm trying to understand new math and this one has me stumped. Thank you. here it is:
Assume the number of liters of water remaining in the bathtub caries quadratically with the number of seconds that have elapsed since you pulled the plug.
a) The tub has 36.75, 27, and 18.75 liters remaining at 1, 2 and 3 seconds respectively since you pulled the plug. I need to write an equation expressing liters (l) in terms of rime (t) in seconds
b) How much water was in the tub when you pulled the plug? i need to show the process and explain it in a sentence using the context of this situation
c) When will the tub be empty? I need to show and explain this process and use a sentence with context
Again help is so appreciated. I thought I had this all figured out, but my answers don't make sense on this type of math and if someone could actually work this problem out in the detail I need, I think it would give me a model to help me figure out the rest of the problems I have to do. I have so many I think I'll still be here next week trying to figure it out without help. Please? Math whizzes??
