cosh(x)=sec(α).

sin2(α)+cos2(α)≡1, so tan2(α)+1≡sec2(α).

cosh2(x)-sinh2(x)≡1, so sinh2(x)≡cosh2(x)-1=sec2(α)-1≡tan2(α),

sinh(x)=tan(α).

tanh(x)≡sinh(x)/cosh(x)=tan(α)/sec(α)=cos(α)tan(α)=sin(α).
