3x + y = 3 First solve for y

y = -3x + 3  this tells us that the M slope is -3 and that the line is decreasing going down from left to right on the graph.

the y intercept b is 3 or the point (0,3).

start at the point (0,3) on the y-axis and count to the right 3 and go 1 down.
