A pilot planned to fly a small plane from Kodiak Alaska to tikchik lakes a distance of 300 mi. after flying for 2 hr at 150 mph the pilot realized that she had been flying on a course that was off 2 degree . how far from tikckik lakes was the airplane at this point? At what angle from the present course much the pilot turn to arrive a tikchik lakes?

Assuming no wind, 2 ours at 150 MPH, her go 300 miles=rite distans

Distans from target=300*tan(2 deg)=300*0.034920769

=10.476 miles

or bout 10.5 miles.
