1. Find the slope of your line by formula: m=(change in y):(change in x)

m=(-2-4):(-6-3)=-6:-9=2/3

The basic equation of a linear equation is: y=mx+b

you have found m already: y=2/3x+b

now, you need to find b

use one of the given pointa(3,4 OR -6,-2). Let's use point 3,4. 3 is x, 4 is y, plug them in y=2/3x+b

4=2/3 *3 +b

4=2+b

b=2

Finish up your equation: y=2/3x+2
