Question: Solve exponential equation 3^1-x=1/27

Now 27 = 3^3

Therefore, 1/27 = 1/(3^3) = 3^(-3)

Our exponential equation then becomes,

3^(1-x) = 3^(-3)

giving,

1-x = -3

x = 1 + 3

x = 4
