I know a linear ft is an actual ft but I can't figure how to calculate it from sqft.

what is the conversion of 277 sqft to linear ft?

Square feet are feet times feet.  Therefore you need to divide a number into 277.  The problem is that 277 is a prime number so there is no conversion.  You can never create 277 sq feet because it is not divisible by 2.
