factor 2x^3-2x^2-12   I used syntetic division to find a factor.  remember that there is a 0x in the equation

2 |  2     -2     0     -12

   |         -4    12     12

   |-----------------------------

      2     -6    12      0

(x + 2)(2x^2 -6x + 12)

(x+2)2(x^2 - 3x + 6)

use quadratic equation to finish
