The sides are not given. so the sides have to be X,X and y.so by proceedind further ,we take the semi perimeter as x+x+y divided by 2=2x+y by 2.now Herons formula,under root ,s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c),but the question is how and what is the answer?

Isosaleez triangel...2 sides the same, so side1=side2, but side3 differ

Herons formula for area av triangels:

half=(side1+side2+side3)/2

sins side1=side2, mae prefer half=side1 +(side3/2)

triangel area=sqrt[(half-side1)*(half-side2)*(half-side3)]

but side2=side1, so area=sqrt[(half-side1)^2 * (half-side3)]

=(half-side1)*sqrt(half -side3)

This is not right: triangel area=sqrt[(half-side1)*(half-side2)*(half-side3)]
