a. -5,-3 b. 5, -15 what is the midpoint of a and b?

The midpoint is found halfway between the two x co-ordinates and
halfway between the two y co-ordinates.

(-5, -3) (5, -15)

x: 5 - (-5) = 10    (x2 - x1)
    10 / 2 = 5
    -5 + 5 = 0       (add to x1)

y: -15 - (-3) = -12   (y2 - y1)
     -12 / 2 = -6
    -3 + (-6) = -9      (add to y1)

Midpoint: (0, -9)
