5/6s+2/9=-7/12 what does s=
what does the s = in the above equation

5/6 s + 2/9 = -7/12

If we were to convert all the fractions to a common denominator,
we would then have to multiply by that common denominator to
eliminate all the fractions, so just multiply by 36.

36 * (5/6 s + 2/9) = -7/12 * 36
30s + 8 = -21
30s = -29
s = -29/30

Check the answer:

5/6 s + 2/9 = -7/12
5/6 (-29/30) + 2/9 = -7/12
-0.80555 + 0.22222 = -0.5833333
-0.5833333 = -0.5833333
