2 3/6 = 2 1/2                                  3/6 = (3/3)/(6/3) = 1/2

What number goes into both numbers? 3! 3 goes into 15 = 5 times. 3 goes into 6 = 2 times. Your answer would be 5/2. Hope this helps.
