0.14*11/7 is the expression, because the big dot means multiply what's on the left of the dot by what's on the right. The decimal might put you off, but if you don't like it, get rid of it by multiplying top and bottom of the fraction by 100. Then we get 14*11/700. 14 goes into 700 50 times, (you could take an extra step by dividing by 7 top and bottom, giving you 2*11/100, then divide 2 into 100) so we get 11/50. You can convert this back to a decimal which makes it 0.22 (divide 11 by 10 first by moving the decimal point back one place giving you 1.1 then dividing this by 5). This is the same as 2*11/100=22/100. Dividing by 100 moves the decimal point back two places, because there are two zeroes in 100, putting it in front of 22. However you like to work with decimals, the answer is still 0.22.
