find the GCM of 12 and 18

None of 12, 15, 18 or or 35 are prime. They have the following factors, respectively:

12 = 2 x 2 x 3

15 = 3 x 5

18 = 2 x 3 x 3

35 = 5 x 7

The Greatest Common Factor (or Divisor) is worked out from the above factorizations:

gcd(15,12) = http://statsfiddle.info/Primes/GreatestCommonDivisor/15?number2=12

gcd(15,35) = http://statsfiddle.info/Primes/GreatestCommonDivisor/15?number2=35

gcd(12,18) = http://statsfiddle.info/Primes/GreatestCommonDivisor/12?number2=18

The Lowest (or least) Common Multiple

lcm(12,18) = http://statsfiddle.info/Primes/LowestCommonMultiple/12?number2=18
