The previous answer is horribly wrong... My god..

2 and 1/3 + 5/6 =

( (2*3) + 1 )/3 + 5/6 =

7/6 + 5/6 = 12/6 = 2.

Order of operations for crying out loud, previous poster....

(All this assuming it's not 2 *times* 1/3 )

Second anon, you do realise that ((2*3) + 1) / 3 IS NOT 7/6?

You claim that others are horribly wrong, but you did not even bother to check your own answer....

Anyway, the first anon is correct and the second anon is wrong.

If we go by the second anon's method, it should be:

((2*3) + 1)/3 + 5/6
= 7/3 + 5/6
= 14/6 + 5/6
= 19/6
= 3 and 1/6
