P for Peter

T for Tarish

B for Ben

T = 3P, which means P = T/3

B = 2T

P + T + B = 54

T/3 + T + 2T = 54

multiply both sides by 3

T + 3T + 6T = 162

10T = 162

T = 16.2

P = T/3

P = 5.4

B = 2T

B = 32.4

Peter gets £5.4, Tarish gets £16.2, and Ben gets £32.4
