Can you give me the answers and step (if you can) to these four problems. Thank you!

1. 43y-(19y-8)=   Simplify by removing parentheses and collecting like terms.

2. Multiply. 7/9 (b-63)=

3. Solve using the principles together. Don't forget to check.  90= 10(2y+1)

4. Multiply 5/3 • (1/4)=

1)

first of all expand the brackets - multiply everything by the -ve.

43y-19y+8

Then collect like terms (ie y) ->43-19 is 24 so

24y+89

2)

Multiply. 7/9 (b-63)

Do as it says - 7/9 * b is 7/9 b then

7/9 * -63/1 ---> 7*-63 is -441 and 9*1 is 9 so gives

-441/9 which simplifies to 49.Add the two to get ans ->

7/9 b - 49

3)

90= 10(2y+1)

Multiply out the be bracket - 10*2y is 20y then 10*1 is 1.

90= 20y +10

subtract 10 from both sides

80 = 20y

divide both sides by 20

80/20 = y which can be simplified to 8/2 which is 4.          y=4

4)

5/3 • (1/4)

5*1 = 5

3*4 = 12

Ans is 5/12

1). 43y -(19y - 8)

First you must distribute the negative to everything in the parenthe 7/9ses:
43y -19y + 8

Now you can combine like terms:
43y - 19y + 8 = 24y + 8

24y + 8 is your answer.

2). 7/9 (b - 63) = 0

First distribute the 7/9 to everything in parentheses.
7/9b - 49 = 0

Now add 49 to both sides.
7/9b = 49

Multiply each side by 9.
7b = 441

Divide each side by 7.
b = 63

Easier way:
When you look at 7/9(b-63)=0.

Since you are multiplying the 7/9 by a variable and a constant in parentheses, find what value for the variable will make the value of the numbers inside the parentheses equal to 0.

7/9(63 - 63) = 0
so b must equal 63.

3). 90 = 10(2y + 1)

First distribute the 10 to the values inside the parentheses.
90 = 20y + 10

Now subtract 10 from both sides.
80 = 20y

Now divide each side by 20.
40 = y

4).Multiply 5/3 by 1/4

Just multiply across.
5 x 1 = 5
3 x 4 = 12

so your new fraction is 5/12
