48=1×48=2×24=3×16=4×12=6×8 in whole numbers so we can pick any 2 pairs of these factors and use them as the length and width of the rectangles. If you use graph paper graduated in centimetres it will help.

I suggest you use 6cm by 8cm for one rectangle and 4cm by 12cm for the other.
