If I understand the question correctly, all 10 gateman must have an equal share of the oranges I collect, but I still have to come away with 2 oranges. So what's stopping me from picking 12 oranges, and while I'm in the garden I visit 9 gates and give the 9 gatemen one orange each, and on the way out through the last gate I give an orange to the last gateman?
