Ignore the dec point for the moment. 6 goes into 49 8 times remainder 1, making 16 as the next number to divide; 6 goes into 16 twice remainder 4, making 47 next; 6 goes into 47 7 times remainder 5. We've run out of digits to combine with the remainder so we have to create a zero, making 50. 6 goes into 50 8 times remainder 2. Create another zero to make 20 and divide 6 into it. It goes 3 times remainder 2 again. So we have 20 again. And we always have a remainder 2, so we end up with a recurring decimal 3333...

Now for the dec point:

.......8.278333...

6 | 49.670000...

By writing the quotient we just calculated over the numbers, we can see where the decimal points line up and we can see where the zeroes were created.
