Start with a stem and leaf plot using the first digit of each number as the stem and the last digit as the leaf. This will create 4 rows of numbers:
3 | 0 2 6
4 | 3 4 5
5 | 3 3 5 5 7 9
6 | 1 1 5 6 8
The stems are on the left of the vertical line with the leaves on the right.
Already we have a histogram formed by the lengths of each row. The longest row is for stem 5.
The histogram could be presented with the stems forming a horizontal axis and leaves forming a column above their stems. This creates a shape showing the distribution of the data clearly biased towards the right. It's how many leaves there are that matter rather than the values associated with the leaves. Replace the leaves with a rectangle of the same height (that is, from left to right, heights are 3, 3, 6, 5) and you have a histogram showing the distribution of the data.
