what is 3/4 + 1/2 = 2/3x fractions solve for x

Let's get rid of the fractions.

The denominators are 4, 2 and 3, whch gives a common denominator of 12.

So multiply all the terms by the common denominator, 12.

9 + 6 = 8x

15 = 8x

x = 15/8

The answer is: x = 15/8
