Same answer as last time.

Nathan gets 8$ per hour plus a weekly bonus of 33$. Marissa gets 9$ per hour no bonus. if they work an equal number of hours and were paid an equal amount of money last week. how many hours did they each work

Let h be the number of hours they both work.

Nathan’s wages: h*8 + 33

Marissa’s wages: h*9

Since they both get paid the same, then we can equate these two values. i.e.

h*8 + 33 = h*9

9h = 8h + 33

h = 33

Answer: they both work for 33 hours that week
