what is 7/8+11/4 simplified

We have,

7/8 + 11/4         Give both fractions a common denominator, leading to

7/8 + 22/8         Now take out the common denominator.

(7 + 22) / 8        Add the top bits, which gives us

29/8

So the answer is: 29/8, or 3 5/8
