The gap between 2 and 3 on the number line is divided into 10 little divisions. Each division is 1/10 between the wholes 2 and 3. Starting from 2 count 7 little divisions, which is 7/10. What letter do you end up on? I counted up to C, so C is at 2 7/10, sometimes written as 2.7.
