Is the table wider than the door? 3/4 is the same as 6/8 and 6/8 is slightly bigger than 5/8 and the whole number is the same for the table and the door. So 2 5/8 is less than 2 3/4, which we write as 2 5/8<2 3/4, answer 1, because the table will fit through the gap. But mind your fingers! There's only 1/8 of a foot to spare!
