Rate of change of y wrt x is dy/dx=5 so y=5x+c where c is constant (unknown).

x=3t+a so rate of change of x is 3 and t is time in seconds. dy/dt=dy/dx * dx/dt=5*3=15.

15>3 so y changes faster than x, therefore the statement is true.
