Problem: graph the line y=6x-4
Daughter needs help with homework.

The easiest point to plot is the y-intercept: (0, -4)
From there, use the slope to determine two other points.
From the intercept, count down 6 and 1 to the left: (-1, -10)
Again from the intercept, count up 12 and 2 to the right: (2, 8)
That is simply 6 and 1 taken twice.

With those three points plotted, you can draw a line through them.
