Let b=cost of Cub tickets and n=cost of Indian tickets.

3b+6n=1230

2b+2n=620, so b+n=310, and b=310-n.

So 3(310-n)+6n=1230

930-3n+6n=1230

3n=300, n=100 and b=210.

So the cost of a Cub ticket is $210, and the cost of an Indian ticket is $100.

here we have a system of 2 equations with two uknowns.

 

(1)  3c + 6i = 1230

(2)  2c + 2i = 620    where c = cost for cub ticket. and  i = cost for indian ticket

 

subtracting the (2) from (1) we get.  (3)  c + 4i = 610. so c =610 - 4i substituting where c = 610-4i

we get i = 100.  substituting i = 100 we get c = 210
