A mudflow with a volume 0.02 cubic kilometers hits a small town. The mudflow covers the entire ten to a uniform thickness of 21 meters. What is the area of the town, in square meters?

1 cubic kilometre = 10^3 * 10^3 * 10 ^3 = 10^9 cubic metres

0.02 cubic kilometres = 0.02 * 10^9 = 2*10^7 cubic metres

Vol = area * height

area = Vol/height 2*10^7 / 21

area = 952,381 square metres
