Let y=3x/(x+2) then xy+2y=3x, 3x-xy=2y, x=2y/(3-y). The inverse function is therefore 2x/(3-x). This can also be written -2x/(x-3) or -2y/(y-3). The variable name is just a placeholder for the function g(x) or g(y). Answer c.
