a pythagorean theorem shows the relationship between the sides of a right triangle an the hypotenuse.
the formula for the Pythagorean theorem is a^2 + b^2 = c^2 ,where a an b are the sides an c is the hypotenuse. ( The triangles measurements are : base or B= x+2 and the height or A is x+3 ) The hypotenuse is C

A: write a polynomial expression for c^2
B: Simplify the polynomial expression( show all work)

I sure hope you can help with this,
Thank You

c^2=a^2+b^2=(x+3)^2+(x+2)^2=x^2+6x+9 + x^2+4x+4=2x^2+10x+13. The polynomial doesn't factorise.

So c^2=2x^2+10x+13.
