(a) when h>0, |h|=h so the gradient is (1-0)/(1-0)=1

(b) when h<0, |h|=-h so the gradient is (1-0)/(-1-0)=-1

(c) the three limits in order are -1 (because h<0), 1 and undefinable because the left hand and right hand limits are not the same.
