1 Answer

1. 4x-6y=15

2. 6x-4y=10

Multiply (1) by 3 and (2) by 2:

3. 12x-18y=45

4. 12x-8y=20

Subtract (4) from (3):

-10y=25, so y=-2.5.

Use (1) or (2) and substitute y=-2.5:

4x+15=15, 4x=0, so x=0

So the solution is x=0 and y=-2.5 or -5/2.
