I don't really know what ththe layout is of this question but I do no I have to pick from adding, subtracting, multipling,or diveding and I have to find v^2, 1/2m, 40, and 2 to one the math options.

Given 40=12mv²,

Divide through by 12m to get v²: v²=40/(12m)=10/(3m), v=√(10/(3m))

Divide through by 12v² to get m: m=40/(12v²)=10/(3v²)

½m=5/(3v²)

1/m=0.3v² so 1/(2m)=½(1/m)=0.15v²

In Step 1, Jerome should have written 40/v²=12m; Step 2 should have been 40/(12v²)=m and Step 3 would be reduction of the fraction: 10/(3v²)=m.
