ive been given this homework and its called more or less its done like a crossword with other maths questions which i get but dont get these ones 90< <100=

640< <650=         example question and answer is greater than 705, less than 707= 706. the 90< <100= which i think is 95 doesnt fit in the puzzle its saying it is 96 please help i just dont get it

90 < _ < 100 means that the number could be anyone of these numbers:

91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99

 

640 < _ < 650 means that the number could be any of these numbers:

641, 642, 643, 644, 645, 646, 647, 648, 649

 

Note that it is ANY of those numbers, NOT all of those numbers.
