I'll try to solve,  Not sure if this is correct.

First, -3 times 4n  then, -3 times the 4.

Is:

-12n + -12=3

add the -12 to both sides

-12n + -12 +12 = 3 + 12

-12n = 15

Divide by -12 to solve for n

 n = 15/-12

n = -1.25

hope that's right
