When the whole number is multiplied by a fraction which is less than 1, the product will be smaller than the whole number. In question 1 the fraction is a half (less than 1) so the product is less than the whole number 10 (answer=5); in question 2 the fraction is an improper fraction which is greater than 1 (7/2=3½) so the product is greater than the whole number (105/2=52½ is bigger than 15).
