Problem: 7x-4y=84 find the intercepts for the graph
find the x and y intercepts for the graph

Intercepts are found where either x or y equals zero.
Set each to zero and solve for the other.

7x - 4y = 84
-4y = -7x + 84
y = 7/4 x - 21
y = 7/4 (0) - 21
y = 0 - 21
y = -21

7x - 4y = 84
7x = 4y + 84
x = 4/7 y + 84/7
x = 4/7 y + 12
x = 4/7 (0) + 12
x = 0 + 12
x = 12

y-intercept: (0, -21)
x-intercept: (12, 0)
