AB=BC are the equal adjacent sides and AB.BC=256, so AB2=256, AB=16=BC=CD=AD.

AC is a diagonal, AC2=AB2+BC2 (Pythagoras), so AC2=256+256=512. AC=√512=16√2=22.63 approx.
