To solve this simply distribute the negative and then combine like terms.

-(x^3 - 4x + 6) is the same as -x^3 + 4x - 6

3x^3 - x^3 = 2x^3

10x + 4x = 14x

5 - 6 = -1

your answer is 2x^3 +14x  - 1
