2/13r = - 9/2

To make the equation simpler we want to try and get rid of the fractions and then find 'r'.

To do this we can start by multiplying both sides of the equation by 2 :

(2/13)×2×r = - (9/2)×2

((2×2)/13)r = - (9×2)/2

(4/13)r = - 9

Now we can multiply both sides of the equation by 13 to simplify further:

(4/13)×13×r = - 9×13

((4×13)/13)r = - 117

4r = - 117

Now we can divide both sides of the equation by 4 to find the value of 'r' on it's own:

(4r)/4 = - 117/4

r = - 117/4          (or r = - 29.25 )

2/13r = -9/2

13r*-9 = 2*2

-117r = 4

r = 4/-117

r = 0.034188 = 0.0342
