-1x-3y=5      *4

-4x-12y=20

4x-6y=18

Adding the above 2 equations we get

-18y=38

y=-38/18=-19/9

-1x-3(-19/9)=5

-1x+19/3=5

-1x=5-19/3=(15-19)/3=-4/3

x=4/3
