how to solve linear equation 5-9x=-85

5 - 9 x =  - 85

Keep x on the same side, and bring the digit on the other side :-

- 9 x = -85 -5

- 9 x = -90 ( Similar signs will get cancelled )

x =90 /9

x = 10 (answer)
